Ask me to bake a cake and I can do it with ease. Ask me to decorate one and I’ll usually run away with my tail between my legs.
I’m just not very good at it.
I know practice makes perfect, but having to make (and subsequently eat) enough cakes to gain the necessary skill is just something that’s not going to happen. And I’m pretty sure there’s a lot of people out there who feel the same way. Need proof? How’s this: the Cricut Cake.
This personal-cutting machine operates similarly to the other Cricuts but this one works safely on foods like gum paste and frosting sheets. It uses Cricut cartridges to cut out shapes, which you can then apply to cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and more.
The price tag is a little steep (regularly $399.99 but on sale for $299.99 right now at Joann.com) so you’d have to be pretty serious about cakes for it to be worth the investment.
