Did you know that we launched the I Heart Handmade markets back in 2008? It’s true! We’ve been around since July of that year, and over time have grown it in to one of the best (and most affordable) marketing opportunities available to indie artists and crafters online. We also met some pretty phenomenal people along the way. All you have to do is stop by one of our markets to see who we’re talking about.
The time has come, though, for us to pass along the “I Heart Handmade” torch. (How’s that for an Olympics reference?) And we’re passing it to Jessica of Indie Icing, who will be managing the market and blog starting with the upcoming Wedding-themed market.
Jessica launched Indie Icing in November 2008 and recently has been featured as a Guest Curator on Etsy’s The Storque and interviewed on HandmadeNews.org. Not only is she a total blog star but she’s pretty smart, too! She brings a B.A. in Art History and M.A. in Public Communications (so she knows her stuff!) — and we’re confident that we’re leaving you in excellent hands.
By the way, be sure to stop by the Wedding market once it opens on Feb. 15 and help celebrate Jessica’s arrival.

Why thank you, Marja and Rachael. I’m definitely excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to “meet” everyone in the markets!

What an exciting announcement — congrats, Jessica! I really love Indie Icing. This passing of the torch couldn’t go to a more better-suited person.
Congrats, Jessica! How cool. You’ve been doing such a marvelous job, and are so helpful and kind (like when I can’t remember how to upload something… *blush*). :c)
Thanks Tina! I don’t remember anyone forgetting how to upload anything… (wink wink)
